WooCommerce: Supported Attributes and Variations

This article describes the fields in the Basic Listing Information section of the WooCommerce Listing Template. We will also review Supported Attributes and Variations.

Leave this field blank when using the Solid Commerce Excel Add-In Tool.

Product Custom SKU

This is the SKU of your product

Example: ABC123.

*SKU's must be 50 characters or less

Warehouse ID

The SKU that is listed to the marketplace.

List Name

The name of your WooCommerce Market List in Solid Commerce.

Po Sources

The name of the Warehouse(s) Solid Commerce should use as the inventory source for your listings. If you would like the listing to pull inventory from multiple warehouses, separate warehouse name with the pipe (|) symbol.

Mystore sell price exp

This field controls the price of your item on WooCommerce.

Mystory qty exp

This is the expression you wish to use on how much of your inventory you want Solid Commerce to show to your WooCommerce store. Quantity updates are every 5-10mins

Market auto rule

The name of the MyStore Pricing Rule you want to use on your listings. MyStore Pricing Rules specify how we should set your price.

Weight and Dimensions

The Solid Commerce columns “product weight”, “product height”, “product length” and “product width” will be mapped over to WooCommerce. We take the weight setting you used on WooCommerce connection page and covert your weight in that measurement. Weight and Dimensions are not required fields in order to list your product. You can add them if you wish.

 

 

WooCommerce Attributes

Before you add these product attributes to your excel spreadsheet, you need to add the attributes to Solid Commerce first. You can do this by going to Products>Manage Product Attributes > Type the name of the attribute ex. “Woocommerce short_description”> then check “Is Searchable” and “Is Public”>then click “Add New Attribute” button.

Product Attribute:woocommerce short_description

Enter a short description of the item

Product Attribute:woocommerce avail_view

Enter TRUE to make the item public and FALSE to make the item private on WooCommerce.

Product Attribute:woocommerce type

Product type. Options: simple and variable. Default is simple. We only support simple (single listing) and Variable (variation listing)- Only parent sku should have this variable child items should have simple

Product Attribute:woocommerce categories_ids

Enter the numerical value associated with your WooCommerce category in which you would like to place the item. Separate multiple values with commas. Do Not include any spaces.

EXAMPLE: 4,7,8

To find the product category ID:

·        Go to: Products > Categories.

·        Hover over a category name.

·        Select the category or Edit.

·        Find the page URL. For example: Section “tag_ID=62” where 62 is the ID of the category.

Product Attribute:woocommerce manage_stock

Enter True if you would like to be able to manage inventory through Solid Commerce. Default is False if left blank. For variation listings Parent SKUs should be set to “False” and the child SKUs should be set to “True

Product Attribute:woocommerce tax_status

Default value is “Taxable”. If you are fine with your item(s) being set to the default you do not have to fill out this field. Options: taxable or none.

Run mystore

Enter Yes or No

 

Optional Fields:

Mystore title

If you prefer to use a listing title in WooCommerce that is different than the product name. If you would like to simply use the product name as the listing title, leave this field blank.

Product Attribute:woocommerce date_on_sale_from

Start date of sale price, in the site's timezone.

Product Attribute:woocommerce date_on_sale_to

End date of sale price, in the site's timezone.

WooCommerce Variations

 

mystore parent sku

This is the virtual sku that you will apply to all your child items which will connect them

Enter the name of your variation attribute in this field. If there is more than one variation ex. Size and Color use double colons to separate between the values. Ex “Size::Color” You should only enter this data in the parent sku row. Do not enter any values in the child sku rows for this column.

Variation Product Attributes

For the actual variation attributes such as Size and Color fill out each skus row with its attribute. For the parent sku row make sure to include all the possible variations options and separate each option with double colon. Ex. In the screenshot below there are to types of variations and two variation types per variation.  For size there is two sizes medium “M” and large “L” and for color “Orange” and “Black”. The top row is the parent sku row.

WooCommerce Product Tags:

In order to use WooCommerce tags through Solid Commerce you first need to create the tags inside of WooCommerce first. Once you create them you will need to add the WooCommerce Tag column to Solid Commerce as an attribute.
Path:

  • Products>Manage Product Attributes> enter the value ‘woocommerce tags'> check ‘Is Searchable' and 'Is Public' then click 'Add New Attribute'.

Next you will add this column to your excel template. You can add more than one tag to a particular SKU by separating the values with a comma. Ex. 'leather,waterproof’

Now you are ready to upload this data to your SKU(s). Make sure to check the box 'Upload Product’ during your excel upload since this considered product level data.
